Happy Tax Day!

Happy Tax Day! Is that an oxymoron or what!? Does doing taxes make anyone else want to break something? How about creating a faux broken glass embellishment for a Mother’s day craft?

Here’s what you need:
Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (Found at Michaels)
Image printed on cardstock
Heating tool or melting pot
Tweezers
Ink and ink blending tool
Embossing clear pad or glue pad
First choose your image and print out. Heavy cardstock is best. Cover the entire image with an embossing pad, glue pad, or other clear adhesive. Holding the image with tweezers pour embossing enamel over image. Heat using heating tool. BE CAREFUL the enamel is very hot! While still hot add more embossing enamel and repeat about 4 times. When the image is entirely covered with a thick, smooth, shiny coat put in freezer for about 3 minutes. Take out and gently bend the image. It will crack like magic! Using a ink blending tool or your fingers work ink into cracks and edges for an aged look. That’s it! Use on scrapbook pages, journals, tags, or a Mothers day card like I did.
Go finish your taxes then do some faux broken glass. It will make you feel better!
Feel free to use the image. Just save, then print onto cardstock.
Thanks for following along!
