Faux Snow Greeting Card

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Well its Black Friday and if your anything like me you would rather be crafting in your pjs than fighting a stampede of shoppers. Need a project? How about a glittery Christmas card for someone special. This card highlights some new techniques I have learned and some fabulous products you just cant live without!

Materials

Quickutz White Chipboard Sheets
Martha Stewart Tree Punch
Assorted Glitters, beads, and flock
Assorted Vintage and Scrapbook paper
Glue Stick
Puffy Fabric Paint
Sewing Machine (optional)
3D Foam Adhesive
Cardstock or a blank card
Heating tool
1. Pick out five papers that coordinate. Cut and layer your papers. You can glue or sew them on. 2. For the hills of snow I drew a wavy line and just hand cut it. I also sewed random wavy lines.
3. I added a candycane strip of paper. Under it is the icicle. Here is how to make them. Draw a straight line of puff paint all the way across. Then starting at the line draw a line down making it fat at the top then taper to a point. Vary the lengths. Let it set for a few minutes then heat with a heating tool. You get to see it puff up before your eyes. Add glue and glitter for a frosty look. 4. Now for the trees. I used Quickutz chipboard that has a peel and stick side. It is AWSOME! I punched them out using Martha Stewarts Tree punch. Simply peel the back off and add glitter, flock, or beads. You can find the tutorial for that here. I used a foam dot on the back and adhered to the card.
5. Add a little sign or tag, buttons, lace or ribbon and, a lot of glitter and you have a super special card.
I just love Martha Stewarts new glitters and beads and that chipboard is so useful. And you could make all kinds of snowy stuff with that puff paint!

Xoxo,
Brandy
